At Propr Office, sustainability is the backbone to our processes and at the core of our operations. We have implemented various initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint and promote environmentally responsible practices. Our supply chain includes both vertical and outsourced just-in-time production facilities, both domestic and international, to reduce lead times and minimize the environmental impact of our products. We believe that producing furniture that lasts is the most sustainable approach, and we prioritize the use of noble materials such as solid woods, metal, felt, and glass that can be refinished and reused for generations.
Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our four key commitments:
1. Striving for excellence, innovation, and performance in a sustainable manner.
2. Delivering sustainable and health-conscious office furniture solutions.
3. Addressing environmental challenges, including air pollution.
4. Making positive contributions to both the natural and human environments.
We are proud to offer FSC-certified products, ensuring that our products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits.
We also offer GREENGUARD certification, indicating that our products meet rigorous chemical emissions standards to protect human health and indoor air quality. Our furniture is designed for disassembly and reuse, and we use eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient manufacturing processes, such as solar and wind power.
In addition to our FSC and GREENGUARD certification options, Propr Office is also committed to achieving WELL certification. The WELL Building Standard is an evidence-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring the performance of building features that impact human health and wellbeing. Our furniture is designed with the end user in mind, and we believe that incorporating principles from the WELL Building Standard will ensure that our products promote a healthy and productive environment for our clients. By prioritizing features such as air and water quality, thermal comfort, and acoustics, we are working towards achieving WELL certification and providing our clients with the best possible workplace environment. Select products are available with WELL Standards.
To further our commitment to sustainability, we are launching the Propr Take Back Program with Heirloom Design in fall of 2023. This program will enable us to refurbish and reuse our furniture, keeping it in circulation and out of landfills for the next generation of workplace environments.
